This beautiful quilt was the result of the Sharon Pederson Rose of Sharon Challenge where over 850 participants submitted Rose of Sharon blocks. There were 12 blocks selected for the final quilt by Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson. These are the blocks used in the Roses of Remembrand quilt. Fabrics used in the project are by Isalnd Batik.
The cost to the program is $ 28.98 plus shipping and handling for a total of 13 months. Each month you will be sent a pattern and fabric kit for a part of the quilt. The entire background fabric is being sent the first month, which will eliminate any dye lot problems that can occur.
Each month with your fabric pak you will have a fabric key included that will inform you as to the placement of each piece of fabric in the kits. The first month you will receive your background fabric and Block 1. Each month thereafter you will receive either 2 blocks, the setting triangles, or corner blocks. In the 13th month you will receive the sashing, border, and binding fabric.
In addition to this packet of fabric you will need to purchase the "Rose of Sharon" book for your pattern source. In addition there are extra offerings that support the project;
